Matthieu Demey is an accomplished athlete, recognised for his impressive career in the world of endurance sports. Several Ironman events, numerous triathlons and ultratrails completed all over the world. These challenges demonstrate his determination and his desire to push beyond his limits. An excellent swimmer and, above all, passionate about sport, years later he decided to create Tripp Sport!
Matthieu discovered triathlon at EC Sartrouville, a club renowned for its high standards and outstanding level. Today, he is a licensed member of Triathlon Club de Liévin, one of the most dynamic clubs in Pas-de-Calais, where he continues to share his passion.
Beyond his performances, Matthieu is deeply committed to people. He has supported many individuals in preparing for and achieving their sporting challenges: marathons, half-marathons, long-distance races, personal challenges… His approach is based on advice, listening and the desire to provide real value through his hands-on experience.
2014 – The beginnings on the roads of France
In 2014, Matthieu travelled across France to set up stands at sporting events. This year marked the beginning of his professional adventure: he became known, built his network and laid the first foundations of a solid project centred on sport, advice and people.

In 2015, Matthieu obtained his diploma in sports biomechanics, a key milestone that strengthened his expertise in movement analysis and understanding the athlete’s body. This skill would become one of the pillars of Tripp Sport’s identity.
2016 – Launch of the TrippSport website
In 2016, Matthieu took a digital step forward by launching TrippSport.fr, a website dedicated to advice, sports equipment and specialist content. It was the first official showcase of his world. Triathlon, Running and Swimming products were now available on the brand-new website.
2017 – Opening of the first shop in Liévin
2017 was a historic year: Matthieu opened his first Tripp Sport shop in Liévin. The retail adventure began, with an increasingly loyal customer base and a strong commitment to personalised advice. The shop quickly became an essential destination for athletes in Pas-de-Calais.
2018 – 2020 Years of hard work
In 2018, Matthieu continued the adventure alone in the shop. He fitted hundreds of athletes with shoes, developed his expertise and strengthened Tripp Sport’s reputation as a local reference for running and triathlon.
The shop grew, Matthieu offered more and more shoes suited to athletes, as well as clothing and accessories, and every product found its place in the shop! Over 2 years, the shop grew drastically.
2020 – COVID and the revolution in gait-analysis appointments
The year 2020 turned the world upside down, but Tripp Sport innovated. Matthieu introduced gait-analysis appointments, a unique 30-minute experience combining discussion, expertise and personalised assessment. A new way of fitting athletes with shoes was born, focused on precision and support.

In 2021, Matthieu welcomed his first employee… who was also called Matthieu. Together, they formed the “Matthieux” duo, two passionate athletes with more than 100 triathlons between them. The shop entered an expansion phase, with more customers and an even stronger identity.
2023 – A fresh start and new projects
In 2023, Matthieu found himself alone again, but a new adventure began: construction of the future shop. The post-COVID context led to a boom in sporting activity, and Tripp Sport prepared to expand in response to this growing demand.
2024 – Alexandre joins the team!
In 2024, Alexandre joined the team. A footballer in R1 for more than 15 years, a running-shoe specialist and a sports enthusiast, he conducts gait-analysis appointments and supports Matthieu with the day-to-day management of the shop. A new dynamic took shape.
2025 – New shop in Aix-Noulette
In 2025, Tripp Sport opened its new shop in Aix-Noulette. A strategic relocation to larger, more modern and more welcoming premises. This new space offers more possibilities for the team and an even higher-quality customer experience.
2025 – Gautier joins the team!
The team is growing with the arrival of Gautier, an apprentice in sales and marketing. A basketball player and lifelong sports enthusiast, he brings a modern perspective: website redesign, new communications and support for customers in the shop.
