Wave Inspire 22: guided support without a rigid feel
The Mizuno Wave Inspire 22 is built for regular road miles when you prefer a steadier platform, particularly if your stride tends to roll inward. Nitrogen-infused Enerzy NXT foam brings cushioning and energy return, while the supportive Mizuno Wave plate shapes the transition without trying to lock your foot in place.
Updated geometry for a more natural-feeling transition than the previous generation.
Indicative women’s shoe weight listed by Mizuno.
Designed for training on roads and smooth paths.
Guidance that works with your stride
The Wave plate uses a support-focused shape designed to help limit arch collapse for runners who overpronate. Its anatomical form follows the foot to encourage a smooth transfer of weight from landing through toe-off. Enerzy NXT aims to deliver soft cushioning with an energetic response, and the breathable mesh upper provides a comfortable hold.
A removable insole, SmoothRide geometry and X10 rubber round out the design. This shoe is not a medical prescription: comfort and your own running mechanics should guide the choice.
THE TRIPP SPORT TAKEFor easy miles and busy training weeks
We like it for runners who want a dependable daily trainer with a steadier feel underfoot, while keeping a smooth ride. It can work well for easy runs, aerobic mileage and those weeks when comfort helps you stay consistent.

TRIPP SPORT advice
If moving from a 12 mm-drop Inspire, start with a few short easy runs in this 10 mm version. Check that support beneath the arch feels comfortable and the heel stays secure without overtightening the laces. Compare the feel at your usual pace; our in-store gait analysis can help you choose suitable support.
